im a noob to altezza's so hope someone will know. i bought an altezza diff so i can pull the lsd out but interestingly it was sold as a 4.3 ratio which i was after too... but turned out to be a 4.6??!!! this is stamped on the crown wheel and the teeth count confirms it. is this oem ratio? the car it was from was imported from japan if that helps
cheers

i think thats mostlikely the trd set. as far as i know the oem only came with 4.1 and 4.3. Boris factory make ring sets too but they are 5.13 i think.

I used to run a Bori's factory 5.125 Final drive which is awesome! Watch your speedo now because it is off. For 6 speed, the difference is great but for AT, the difference is subtle.

Is it worth fitting a 5.1 final gear to my Auto? as top speed isn't required but better pick up is always welcome...

If yes? where can i get a kit and how much?

thanks

Celica RA45 - do you know where in Melbourne.
I am after 3.5:1 or somewhere close to that.

Just found a source in the UK for a "js racing" 5.1 final drive kit..... only £900 sterling.... ohmy.gif ,

anybody know of a cheaper place.... wink.gif

Crazy thought w00t.gif but what if i just stuck smaller wheels on the car? as in reduce the rolling diameter..... icon_rofl.gif

Problem with IS300 is it is a larger diff size. Doesn't swap into IS200 unless you take complete rear end disc to disc.
