Nz National Motor Show, UPDATED: Pictures of the Event

Ok boys and girls, I'm needing people to put their hands up to put their Altezza in the National motor show again. Date for the show is March 17-19 2006.

People who put their cars in the show get free tickets and we can buy extra tickets for $5-00 each.

Cars can be there for 1 or 3 days.

Please let me know if your interested, or even if you just want to help out or can provide anything to help.

We are after about 7-8 cars.

COULD PEOPLE THAT ARE BRING THEIR CAR IN ON THE FRIDAY, SATURDAY OR SUNDAY HAVE THEIR CAR IN THE GATE BEFORE 8.30AM OR YOU WONT BE ALLOWED IN THE GATE WITH IT.

My brother is going to be up there with his Skyline, so I could happily hang around as well. Nothing particularly noteworthy about my tezza tho... Just clean and shiny

Thats all we need is clean & shiney, how many days are you going to be there for?

I'll check on my work schedule, but I can probably do all the days - as long as we're well set up with nice chairs and a bit of shade...

No doubt we'll want a bit of variety, so let's wait and see what other cars are available and go from there.

It would be good to have ya there. Last year we had a tent, chairs, BBQ going and I do believe that someone smuggled in a few beers as well.

That would be great if you could make it RS200NZ. Where are you based and what colour and mods as car got, not that it needs any.

The other thing I forgot to mention is that cars on the site get free tickets.

I might be keen to put my car there, but March is when I start back at uni again... Will have to see how my projects go during that time..

Well I did say last year that I would be so keen to get sorted for this year. I love the event and reckon it is great for the club. Haha, I have two cars so also means if I do ever display in the show I still have a car to get around in - lol.

Anyways, I will be intouch as my car goes back in for work this week. When I know more about my car, university and work I will let you know.

Either way I will try to be there to support the club and promote with you all at the site if you have place for me.

What colours have we got so far? Would be good to have a spectrum of colours as well as a spectrum of models. Mine's 3N3 like RS200NZ's. Will we have AS200's or Lexii?

So far we have got Blue, black, burnt orange, silver and yellow

All RS200 apart from the yellow one thats got 500HP V8 in it.

Who's got the White bumblebee supercharged one now that Derek has sold it? My brother knows... Think it's someone from Paeroa direction... Don't think we'll be having that one this year.

I would be keen to put mine in if you still require more cars. But I would have confirm a bit closer to the date as the engine is not going in for a couple more weeks then tuning mid feb if all goes to plan.

Yeah I could be in, will have to confirm dates. White RS200Z, Aero body kit, lowered on TRD suspension....

The guys from Whiteline in Paeroa own it I believe.
They haven't run the car in competion since they purchased it I don't think, so they may be developing it further.

You leave your cars at the show overnight as there is security, also we give the cars a good clean each morning so they look good all day.

Well I heard word today that my car will be about 3weeks before I get it back. Toyota are getting me a new gearbox again from Japan. Second replacement so Im doing well ay.

The news that you wouldnt have heard yet is that I will be selling my Altezza as soon as I can. So that will mean that obviously I wont have mine on display (unless it is still around - and I have for sale sign on it).
I am still a member of the club though and will be happy to help out where I can.

It's always sad to see someone with a low member number (25!) leaving the club... Good luck with the sale anyway!
