The car was a bit rough at start up and when I stopped the engine. I had it suggested to me that it might be the engine mounts. I replaced them and as you will see below, it was worth it. The car is WAY smoother on start up, stop and idle plus I'm not running the risk of it falling out of the front of the car when I get on the brakes.... Might be worth checking yours as I am told it is a pretty common problem with the tezz.

fark...my car has started to get really rough on shut down and idle.... i was thinking of getting them checked.
didnt know it was a weak point. thanks for the heads up though -------------------- ftw

r they total of 3 mounts for tezza? how much are they? must be not cheap to replace...

There are two of these mounts on the engine. One Left (Below exhaust manifold) and one right (Under intake manifold). I got the new mounts for $145 nz each (trade). The genuine Toyota ones were actually cheaper than the after market ones.

Glen here in Sydney with the TRD RS200 has TRD engine mounts (naturally!). You can really notice them through the seat when you turn the car over - the vibration is not really audible, but i found it more noticable than stock. Strictly a 'seat of the pants' measurement. Makes the car feel quite tough!
