To tell you of what is going on in Germany.
In the last months the prices for unleaded rised and rised. Last was 1.22 Euro/Litre (1.52USD, 2.16NZD).

Now after the big catastrophe in NewOrleans it jumped.... 1.52 Euro/Litre (2.69NZD, 1.90USD)!!!

They are thinking about touching our national 90-day-oil-reserves, to help the us out for a while... good idea... I hope they will build up a better infrastructure over there... suddenly they are next 3rd world...

The same here, but in NZ$ instead of Euros... About $1.25 a couple of months back, and now $1.50NZ.

Cheaper in Aussie, I noticed in August, by about 10cents/litre.

It should plateau for a while next year, as oil that was uneconomic to extract will now get used, and refineries will be expanded. In the longer term nothing will stop the free-market rules of supply and demand, and China and India will be making big demands!

Unless Govts reduce the tax on it!! ninja.gif

The Prius will become popular!

If the planned protests does go ahead with them blocking tankers from leaving the refineries then no fuel at petrol stations so yes no one be able to fill up i guess! Hopefully it wont come to that or they sort somethin g out with the government last i heard the government isnt doing anything to meet their demands rolleyes.gif .
Some places unleaded had gone up since last night from this whereas lot of places is just over 1GBP per litre.
