i don't notice the difference between 96 and 98.. don't wanna do the math, but with a full tank of 98, its about $5 - $7 more than a tank of 96?

I used to use Shell 96 and then changed to BP 98, I reckon the car ran heaps better buy maybe just in my head

and yep the evo likes gas alright! think it does over 400km on a tank, but the tank might be 70 litres ohmy.gif

I been using BP Ultimate for a while and personally I think its the best out of all the 98 octanes ...
then was told to switch over to shell - only because apparently - these are better for the engine ... dont know "how much better" or how much crap they leave behind ... but is better ... END ...

so yea - Im now using shell smile.gif and at freakin $1.30 a litre - thats bloody MURDER angry.gif $12-$20 extra a tank ... geezzz ...

91 or 98 makes no difference in performance in my car at all afaik - but i still fill with 98 anyway becuase its only a few extra bucks a tank. 60 litres @ around 10c diff between reular and premium = $6 MAX difference. If you fill up once a week that an extra 6 bucks maximum.

makes me wander what all these tightasses are whingeing about tongue.gif

i use 98, i dont know the difference between all the different types and how its better for your car...but my logic for every thing is the more expensive it is the better it must be.

I run 98, I've put 91/96 and gulls '97' in it, but always get the best from 98
Noticeable difference on the throttle, but biggest thing I've noticed is starting the
car.
Anything under 98 seems to take a minimum 2-3 extra cranks before firing up.

hahah -
when u put it at only 10c difference .. @ $6 .. then i can say yea - what the heck ...
but when u at 20-30c difference - your wallet starts to whinge a little esp when u drive to work everyday ...

$1.26+ is now the average for 98
